Routine appointments

To request a non-urgent routine appointment Monday to Friday you can:

You will be asked a series of questions to understand your needs, so that we can connect you with the right doctor, nurse, or health care professional.

If you need any help, just ask our friendly reception team, we’re here to support you, just walk in and speak to us.

A routine appointment may be suitable for you if:

  • Your issue is not urgent
  • You’re seeking advice, support, or review
  • Your symptoms are stable or long-standing

Examples:

  • Feeling tired all the time
  • Menopause or HRT advice
  • Weight gain
  • Health checks or blood pressure reviews
  • Medication reviews
  • Minor skin or joint issues

Urgent on the day appointments

To request an urgent same day appointment Monday to Friday you can use our appointment request form (Anima), Monday to Friday from 8am.

Urgent on the day appointments will be able to be requested until we have reached a clinically safe capacity.

Alternatively, you can phone us from 8am to book an on the day urgent appointment subject to our clinically safe capacity not having been met.

If you need any help you can walk in to the practice, just ask our friendly reception team, we’re here to support you.

You may need to request an Urgent on the day appointment if:

  • Your symptoms are sudden or severe
  • You feel unable to wait
  • You’re worried about a child, pregnancy, or vulnerable person
  • You have a flare-up of a known condition (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes)

Examples:

  • High fever in a child
  • Severe pain (e.g. chest, abdomen, head)
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Mental health crisis
  • Suspected infection (e.g. UTI, cellulitis)
  • Safeguarding concerns

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

Access to extended access and other services is through onward referral

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
  • If you need an interpreter.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.
